I was walking through some of the more secluded areas of campus today, which is something I often do. I passed by this unique tree, a tree that stops me in my tracks every time. You stop, and you admire this thing, this testament to life. It looks like it’s been through hell, it’s twisted, mangled, it looked like it almost hit the floor once. Yet it remains. And it looks almost as if other trees around it helped to keep it alive. A nearby tree has a branch that crosses a span of about 10 feet to connect with the limp branch. Another tree base grew to support the tree as well. It’s a natural survivor story, and it’s beautiful. So I took some pictures with my cellphone. Enjoy..
